Dipl.-Ing. Simon Köppl has been working as a research associate at FfE in Munich since 2014 and became head of the unit living labs and electromobility in April 2022. He has been project lead of various consulting and research projects in the context of electromobility, new energy markets, and power grids for many years. Due to his leading function in large research projects (e. g., in the SINTEG project C/sells and currently as general project lead of the joint unIT-e2 project) he can resort to a large network among all stakeholders and dedicates himself to the cooperation of science & practice in living labs and a cooperation between the different sectors.
He graduated in electrical engineering and information technology with a specialization in energy technology from the TU Munich in 2014. In 2022, he received his PhD at the TU Munich on the topic of “Design of a market-based coordination mechanism for the integration of decentralized flexibility for congestion management in the distribution grid.”
