Lukas Höttecke

Lukas Höttecke is a research engineer in the central research unit of Siemens AG and works in the research group “Infrastructure Design” in Erlangen. He studied electrical engineering and information technology (B. Sc. and M. Sc.) at the Technical University of Dortmund and at the Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland.
During his studies, Mr. Höttecke was awarded several times, among others with the Hans-Uhde Award for his master thesis. In his PhD in industry, Mr. Höttecke has been developing efficient algorithms for optimizing decentralized energy systems for resilience. Lukas Höttecke research focuses on minimizing long-term planning risks, while maintaining high levels of security supply in optimized investment planning.
