Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Schreck studied renewable energies and sustainable electrical energy supply at the University of Stuttgart and Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg). During his studies, he focused on the field of energy system modeling and energy system analysis.
In 2018, Sebastian Schreck joined Siemens AG and has since worked as a research engineer in the central research unit Technology. In his doctoral thesis at the Technical University of Darmstadt in cooperation with Siemens AG, he dealt with local energy markets at distribution grid level. His current work focuses on the development, simulation, and analysis of concepts for optimizing decentralized energy systems and data driven energy services.
