Thomas Duerr is the Manager of Standards and Regulations at Siemens Smart Infrastructure in the Electrification and Automation division. In this role, he observes global standardization efforts, particularly in the field of grid digitalization. He leads the Technical Legislation and Standardization working group at T&D Europe, where he oversees the new regulations from the EU-related to the Green Deal and digitalization. He is currently collaborating with the Innovation 2030+ working group at ZVEI on a study focusing on the grids of 2030+ and the JTC24 WG DPP. Additionally, he is actively involved in network components within FNN. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and has been with Siemens since 1990.
