Prof. Raphael Lechner

Prof. Dr. Raphael Lechner has been Professor of Digital Energy Systems and Sector Coupling at the Technical University of Applied Sciences (OTH) Amberg-Weiden since 2021. He studied Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency in Amberg and Kassel, Germany, and received his PhD from the University of Birmingham, UK. Raphael Lechner has over 16 years of experience in leading positions in technical consulting and applied research on decentralized energy systems with a focus on the municipal energy industry and industrial energy supply. He is a member of the scientific management team of the Competence of Excellence for Cogeneration at OTH Amberg-Weiden and Managing Director at the Institute for Energy Technology IfE GmbH. His research interests are especially in the field of sector-coupled energy systems and P2X technologies.
