Prof. Hubert Kirrmann

Prof. Hubert Kirrmann was Managing Director and founder of the consulting firm Solutil, based in Baden, Switzerland. He completed his studies in electrical engineering at the ETH Zurich in 1970. As a renowned expert in energy, communication, and automation technology, he was active in numerous national and international technical standardization committees and a member of the Swiss standardization committees CES/TK 57 and TK 65. He was a professor at the Colombian University Distrital de Bogota from 1973 to 1977. Parallel to his work at the current ABB Research Center in Baden, Switzerland, and research on multiprocessor computers for industrial automation, he became an honorary professor at EPFL, Lausanne, CH.
