Katarina Van Der Haar

Katarina Van Der Haar is a trained Petroleum Engineer with a strong interest in energy transition solutions and the just decarbonization of the global energy system. She currently works as a CCUS Stakeholder Engamement Lead.
In her previous role, she worked as a reservoir engineering consultant providing technical analysis for asset & portfolio evaluations for oil and gas and LNG assets, and CCUS and natural hydrogen projects around the world. At other roles, she was involved in LNG field development optimization, production prediction for multi-layer tight gas reservoirs, field development using underbalanced drilling technology, and while working as a roughneck, drilling operations.
She holds a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering with First Class Honors, a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology & Geophysics and a Bachelor of International Studies majoring in Arabic & International Relations. She spoke at several industry conferences and is on the Board of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and of the Energy Club, located in Perth, Western Australia.
