Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Bowe is founder of GreenGasAdvisors, a consulting firm on the gas supply of the future. He advises companies and official institutions in setting the course for a sustainable gas supply. The basis for his work on this chapter is his special focus is on verification systems for renewable energy.
He contributed to design and development of the Irish Renewable Natural Gas Registry and of the German Biogas Registry. He accomplished the latter during his career at the German Energy Agency (Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH, dena), which was until 2018. He was actively involved in the development of EN 16325 for Guarantees of Origin for renewable energies, including as co-chair of the gas project team in CEN/CLC/JTC 14 WG 5.
Stephan Bowe graduated from the Technical University of Berlin with a diploma degree in environmental engineering. While studying and working, he learned to lead group processes in a targeted manner using methods of theme-centered interaction (Ruth Cohn Institute). With design-thinking elements, he inspires innovation processes.
