Dr.-Ing. Martin Kautz

Dr.-Ing. Martin Kautz is a Senior Engineer in the central research department of Siemens AG and works in the research group “Infrastructure Design” in Erlangen. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of energy conversion and storage, most of them within Siemens. He placed his broad technical expertise into very different projects, such as smart grid and decentralized networks, healthcare, steel and mining, mobility solutions, renewable energy, etc. He was awarded as a young fellow of the Stiftung Werner-von- Siemens-Ring in 2007 for his PhD thesis at University Rostock. Martin Kautz research topics are now in the field of energy system design and decarbonization roadmaps for energy systems at sites.
