Benjamin Deppe

Since 2006, Benjamin Deppe has been working on the transformation of conventional metrology as it shifts towards digitized metrology. He has pursued this interest over the course of his professional career as part of the emergence of the smart grid and in the context of innovative customer products. Mr Deppe first worked as a research associate at the Institute for High Voltage Technology and Power Systems at Technische Universität Braunschweig. From 2011 to 2017, Mr Deppe was employed by various companies in the MVV Energie Group. In one of these posts, he was responsible for the introduction of smart metering systems as Head of Department for Soluvia Metering GmbH. From 2017 to 2023, he had responsibility for metering digitization and the development of a digital infrastructure operator as Head of the Metering Service Division at Energienetze Mittelrhein. Currently, he is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of smart metering systems at Schleupen SE as Principal IT Service Manager.
Mr. Deppe underwent further training as a systemic coach, organizational developer and trainer from 2019 to 2023. Since 2020, he has been supporting people and organizations on a part-time basis in the change process accompanying the digital transformation.
