Chapter 2
Anna Pfendler studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology with a focus on Power Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. With funding from the Herbert-Kind-Prize of the VDE Energy Technology Society (ETG), she spent two trimesters as an exchange student at the École Polytechnique de Montréal in Canada in 2015/16. Since 2018, she has been a research associate at the Department of Electrical Power Supply using Renewable Energies (E5) in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at TU Darmstadt. Her research focuses on system stability in low-inertia power systems, control concepts for inverter-based generation plants, the dynamics of active distribution grids, and dynamic equivalent models of active distribution grids.
