Dr. Sascha Schröder studied industrial engineering in the field of energy and environmental management at the University Flensburg and the University of Applied Sciences Flensburg, Germany. He completed his PhD at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) on regulatory issues of electricity market design to enable better system integration of different renewable energies. In the energy industry, his work experience comprises several stages of the value chain. Within the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), he has been leading the onshore wind committee for several years. Today, as a Senior Strategy Manager at the utility EWE AG, he devotes himself to future energy system pathways and to strategic drivers for different business areas.
Sascha Schröder is an external lecturer in energy economics and energy law at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. For more than 10 years, he has been involved in the further development and dissemination of different industry-specific didactic games in order to make energy sector topics more accessible in an innovative way.
